Dominique Charron, M.D., Ph.D.
Chair
Dr. Charron is Professor of Medicine, Immunology at the University of Paris and Chairman of the Department of Immunology and Histocompatibility at Hospital Saint Louis in Paris. His many international honors include the Grand Prix Claude Bernard for Medical Research and the Ceppellini Lecture award. With over 300 publications to his credit, Dr. Charron has also served as chairman of the International Histocompatibility Workshop and Conference.
Melanie Osby, MD
Dr. Osby is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine. She completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology training at LAC+USC Medical Center and Transfusion Medicine clinical fellowship training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Osby currently serves as the National Medical Director for HemaCare Corporation with direct oversight of its blood donor centers, therapeutic apheresis services and stem cell collections. She also maintains a full-time position with the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services, in the Department of Pathology at LAC+USC Medical Center. She is a member of many medical societies, including the AABB, California Blood Bank Society, American Society for Apheresis, and the College of American Pathologists for which she serves as the Division Commissioner for Southern California. She has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and Transfusion. She earned her B.A. and M.S. in Microbiology from California State University, Los Angeles and her M.D. from the Drew/UCLA School of Medicine.
